Ghanaian dance-hall artistes, Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy brawl disrupts Vodafone Ghana Music Awards 2019, that took place in Accra.
The brawl started out as a result of Stonebwoy been awarded the dance-hall reggae artist of the year when rival Shatta Wale and his entourage mounted the stage.
Video footage of the clash appears to show Stonebwoy holding a gun.
According to JOY ONLINE REPORTS during the acceptance speech for another award Stonebwoy won he apologised.
Thus, he said: “I only had to react out of natural instincts because we all know how premeditated some people can be. We’ve seen on social media the threats and everything so we couldn’t come in unprepared,” he reportedly said. I come in peace and I go in peace and I apologise to the whole masses of Ghana that the awards is going to continue.”
Stonebwoy further went on his Twitter handle to thank the police for handling the incidence properly.
